  Stop for the interrogative particles

Use the interrogatives with the demonstratives.



مَنْ هَذا؟
مينْ دا؟

 1Miin da?
Who is that?



ما هَذا؟
إيهْ دا؟
 2Eh da?   
What is that?

 



أيْنَ هَذا؟
فينْ دا؟

 3 feen da? 
Where is that?



لِماذا هَذا؟
ليهْ دا؟

 4Liih da?

مَتىَ هَذا؟

  Be careful:

Interrogative particles are not always placed at the beginning of the sentence.

For Egyptian Colloquial Arabic you can flip: miin da? OR/ da miin?

MSA/Classical prefers interrogative particle placement at the beginning of the sentence. Especially in written form.

 

 

  Stop for words.

Colors are adjectives. Memorize the masculine, feminine, and plural forms for all adjectives.

Memorize the colors.
